Samuel spent the majority of his upbringing in rural Alberta. Despite this fact, he is a committed urbanist. Samuel fell in love with streets and the diverse uses they support while living in France during his undergrad. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Economy and International Relations from the University of Alberta and is currently in Simon Fraser University’s Master of Urban Studies program. His research is devoted to mainly transportation with a focus on multimodal cities, land use/urban design and transportation demand management strategies.
